Pastor Kent

Pastor
Kent Pierce

Pastor Kent Pierce has served as a pastor since 1999 and came to Campus Lutheran in 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and prepared for the pastoral ministry at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.  In 2017 he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis on missional leadership.  Pastor Kent has served in campus ministry settings throughout his pastoral career.  He and his wife, Jen, have three children - Emma, Norah and Brennen.

Pastoral Assistant
James Lanning
Pastor James Lanning is the pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Centralia, and also serves as pastoral assistant at Campus Lutheran Church.  He is a 2022 graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.  Pastor Lanning is originally from Lago Vista, TX and became an LCMS Lutheran in 2010.  His wife, Hannah is a life-long Lutheran from St. Louis, MO.  James and Hannah have been married for two years and have one child, Katherine (age 1), James enjoys running, biking, swimming, music, disc golf, and travel. Hannah enjoys music, travel, hiking, and biking.

Student Worker - College Ministry
Hope Kane
Hope Kane is a Sophomore at Mizzou studying Psychology to become a psychologist. She has been involved at Campus Lutheran and the Gathering since her freshman year in the fall of 2022. She currently is on the LSF board as a secretary and is a part of the church's choir. She is originally from Florissant, MO and was raised Lutheran. Hope is blessed to have her parents (Scott and Beth), her brothers (Chris and Joe), and three beautiful cousins (Emma, Ellie, and Ella). In her free time she enjoys singing, reading, writing, drawing, and spending time with her loving family.

Student Worker - College Ministry
Alex Hopfer
Alex Hopfer is a junior at Mizzou studying Geography with an emphasis in Geographical Information Systems. He has been involved at Campus Lutheran and the Gathering since freshman year in 2021. He is involved in the LSF Board as President and is on the Peer Ministry Team. He is originally from St. Louis, MO and was raised LCMS Lutheran since birth. He is blessed to have his parents (Alan and Sara), his brother, sister, and brother-in-law (Kyle and, Emma & Jacob), and his nephew (Arlo). In his free time he enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

Vicki Smith

Vicki Smith has been the Office Assistant at Campus Lutheran Church since the summer of 2011. Vicki is the "go to" person for all your all your questions about the activities of our congregation.

Director of International Ministry
Beth Greimann

Beth and her husband Ken met at Concordia University-Nebraska in 1980 and were married in 1981. Ken taught in Lutheran Schools in Springfield, IL and Rolla, MO. The couple served as youth leaders in many of the congregations they served in.  Beth taught at Good Shepherd Lutheran here in Columbia and worked with Campus Ministry here at CLC in 2004 and continued to serve Lutheran Student Fellowship at the National level for 4 years. The family has been a part of the Campus Lutheran family since they moved to the area in 1986.  They were part of two mission church startups while here in the area.  Beth has been a part of the Asian Affairs Center at the University of MO since 2014, putting her Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language and Curriculum development to good use. Ken & Beth have 4 children, 3 sons-in-law and 10 grandchildren.
