Pastor
Kent Pierce

Pastor Kent Pierce has served as a pastor since 1999 and came to Campus Lutheran in 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and prepared for the pastoral ministry at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.  In 2017 he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis on missional leadership.  Pastor Kent has served in campus ministry settings throughout his pastoral career.  He and his wife, Jen, have three children - Emma, Norah and Brennen.

Pastoral Assistant
James Lanning
Pastor James Lanning is the pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Centralia, and also serves as pastoral assistant at Campus Lutheran Church.  He is a 2022 graduate of Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.  Pastor Lanning is originally from Lago Vista, TX and became an LCMS Lutheran in 2010.  His wife, Hannah is a life-long Lutheran from St. Louis, MO.  James and Hannah have been married for two years and have one child, Katherine (age 1), James enjoys running, biking, swimming, music, disc golf, and travel. Hannah enjoys music, travel, hiking, and biking.
Director of Christian Education - Resident Intern
Laura Gibson
Laura Gibson is the new DCE Resident Intern at Campus Lutheran. She has just recently completed her bachelor's degree in Theological Studies: Christian Leadership from Concordia University Irvine. During her time at Concordia, Laura served at five different congregations through Fieldwork at Concordia and Summer Internships in California and Washington State. Her hometown is Modesto, CA where her three siblings (Robert, Elizabeth, & Curtis), parents (Rob & Julia), and four dogs (Elsa, Orion, Zero, and Duchess) reside. During her free time, you can find Laura outside enjoying nature, crocheting, playing guitar and singing, line dancing, hanging out with friends, or enjoying one of her favorite TV shows. 
Student Worker - College Ministry
Brennen Pierce
Brennen Pierce is a Columbia native, and is currently a nursing student in the ADN program at MACC, with plans to continue toward his BSN. He became involved with The Gathering during the summer before his freshman year of college and has been grateful for the way Campus Lutheran has helped him grow in faith and community. Brennen is excited to serve in college ministry and hopes to help students feel welcomed, known, and connected. He loves seeing students find a Christian community that feels like home and is passionate about helping The Gathering continue to grow as a place where students are encouraged in Christ. His interest in nursing and his experience working as a CNA at Lenoir Woods have shaped the way he thinks about service, compassion, and caring for others. In his free time, Brennen enjoys being outdoors, going on road trips, spending time with friends, and staying involved at Campus Lutheran.​
Student Worker - College Ministry
Emma Roeglin
Emma Roeglin is currently a student at the University of Missouri (Mizzou)  majoring in Health Sciences. After graduation, she plans to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). She got involved with our college ministry, The Gathering, during her freshman year, and it quickly became such an important part of her college experience. She is excited to become even more involved in serving our church community this year! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going for runs, and watching her favorite TV shows. Emma is looking forward to getting to know everyone better and seeing how God works through this season!

Vicki Smith

Vicki Smith has been the Office Assistant at Campus Lutheran Church since the summer of 2011. Vicki is the "go to" person for all your all your questions about the activities of our congregation.

Director of International Ministry
Beth Greimann

Beth and her husband Ken met at Concordia University-Nebraska in 1980 and were married in 1981. Ken taught in Lutheran Schools in Springfield, IL and Rolla, MO. The couple served as youth leaders in many of the congregations they served in.  Beth taught at Good Shepherd Lutheran here in Columbia and worked with Campus Ministry here at CLC in 2004 and continued to serve Lutheran Student Fellowship at the National level for 4 years. The family has been a part of the Campus Lutheran family since they moved to the area in 1986.  They were part of two mission church startups while here in the area.  Beth has been a part of the Asian Affairs Center at the University of MO since 2014, putting her Master’s Degree in English as a Second Language and Curriculum development to good use. Ken & Beth have 4 children, 3 sons-in-law and 10 grandchildren.
