"Living and Sharing the Transforming Love of Christ"
If you are interested in officially joining Campus Lutheran Church as a member, there are a few avenues you can take depending upon your church background.
New Member Class
For adults, if you are coming from a church background other than Lutheran, or have no previous church affiliation, you may enroll in our “What Lutherans Believe” class. This class is offered three times each year, weekly for six sessions. You can view the schedule or register for the next class here.
Junior Confirmation
For children, if they have not yet been baptized, we begin with administering Holy Baptism. We then encourage enrollment in our children’s ministry, Grace Road. Three academic years of Junior Confirmation Instruction is offered to our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This class provides an overview of the Bible and instruction in basic Christian teachings utilizing Martin Luther’s “Small Catechism” leading to confirmed membership.
Membership Transfer
If you currently are a member in good standing of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation, you may let our pastor know of your desire to join us and then request a transfer of your membership to Campus from your previous church. Though not required, attendance at the “What Lutherans Believe” class mentioned above is encouraged as a refresher.
LAUNCH
All new members will be asked to attend a four-week class called “LAUNCH,” usually held on Sunday mornings. This orientation class will connect you to the mission, vision, and ministries of our congregation and help you discover how you can become involved.
