Seminarian James Lanning Called to Serve as Pastor of Good Shepherd
In Shared Ministry with Campus Lutheran Church

On the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, a divine call was issued to seminarian James Lanning to become the pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Centralia, and to serve the shared ministry of Good Shepherd and Campus Lutheran.
Mr. Lanning is 31 years old, from Lago Vista, TX. James became an LCMS Lutheran in 2010. His wife, Hannah is 27 years old, is a life-long Lutheran from St. Louis, MO. James and Hannah have been married for two years and have one child, Katherine (age 1), James enjoys running, biking, swimming, music, disc golf, and travel. Hannah enjoys music, travel, hiking, and biking.
James received a BS in Multi-disciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, in 2016. Hannah received a Bachelor of Music Education from Illinois State University, Normal, IL, in 2017. James has worked part-time as a swim instructor/lifeguard and as a substitute teacher. Hannah has worked as an orchestra teacher and part-time as an English Language Arts teacher. She currently works part-time as a freelance musician and music teacher.
