Summer Casas por Cristo Trip

The Mission:
A group of 15 young adults are going on a trip to Acuña, Mexico this summer from June 20th to 26th! From June 22nd to 24th, we will build a 2-bedroom house (concrete foundation, insulated walls, electrical, windows, etc.) from the ground up for a low-income family. By building this house, we will be able to share the love of Christ in such a tangible way which will open a door for a local pastor to minister to them.

During the build days, the team will learn many construction skills, will be able to interact with the family and local kids, and be able to connect with college students from other congregations! On the dedication day, the family will receive a Bible, the keys to the house, and there will be heartfelt exchanges, pictures, and so much joy rooted in Christ’s love!

Students Attending:
From Campus Lutheran, there are 4 students attending: Brennen Pierce, Josh Roeglin, Emma Roeglin, and Brian Heisner.

The pastor chose this family because they live in very bad conditions but are still faithful in serving at the church. They make $184/week.

Prayer Itinerary for Casas por Cristo Summer Mission Trip to Acuña, México

June 20 – June 26, 2026

We invite you to pray daily with us and for us as a team of young adults from several congregations travel to Acuña, México, to serve the Noé Gómez Martínez family by helping build a two-bedroom home from the ground up. Noé Gómez Martínez, Carla Julisa Dávila Medina, and Noemí Gómez Martínez have remained faithful in serving their church even while living in very difficult conditions. We pray this home becomes a tangible expression of Christ’s love, showing the love of Jesus in a way the family can see and feel, and opening a door for a local pastor to continue ministering to them. We value your presence with us in thought and prayer.
