A Request for Prayers & Financial Support
The Mission:
A group of 15 young adults are going on a trip to Acuña, Mexico this summer from June 20th to 26th! From June 22nd to 24th, we will build a 2-bedroom house (concrete foundation, insulated walls, electrical, windows, etc.) from the ground up for a low-income family. By building this house, we will be able to share the love of Christ in such a tangible way which will open a door for a local pastor to minister to them.
During the build days, the team will learn many construction skills, will be able to interact with the family and local kids, and be able to connect with college students from other congregations! On the dedication day, the family will receive a Bible, the keys to the house, and there will be heartfelt exchanges, pictures, and so much joy rooted in Christ’s love!

The Family We’re Building For:
The Noe Gomez Martinez Family
Noe Gomez Martinez - 46 years old - Construction Worker
Carla Julisa Davila Medina - 33 years old - Office Worker
Noemi Gomez Martinez - 62 years old - Mother
The pastor chose this family because they live in very bad conditions but are still faithful in serving at the church. They make $184/week.
Students Attending:
From Campus Lutheran, there are 4 students attending: Brennen Pierce, Josh Roeglin, Emma Roeglin, and Brian Heisner.
Why Donate?
This is a wonderful opportunity to 1) financially support faithful Christians living in a tough situation, 2) continue to Great Commission, 3) support the students’ love for missions!
The group needs to raise ~$16,500 total. $13,500 (building materials and Mexican lodging) of which needs to be raised by May 21st, the rest (travel expenses) just need to be raised by the time we leave on June 20th. Since we are so pressed on time to raise this money, any donation really means a lot!
